A friend shared a video of a young polish pianist, Hania Rani, playing a composition of her own called F Major. The video was shot on a windswept plain in Iceland, a single piano and player in the vast expanse, and a dancer in the distance. I knew immediately that I had to do a painting of it, although the result is filtered through my own peculiar rendering of flattened perspective and loose linework.
